Raised Bed Giveaway!
If you would like a free raised bed for gardening to be placed at your home, then consider this opportunity.  Applicants can receive up to three raised gardens beds approximately 3’x3’x30″ per submission.  Unlimited beds are available to community and school gardens and receive priority distribution.

Each applicant will be contacted with up to no more than three attempts before going back into the distribution cycle.  No shows will go back into the distribution cycle for up to one additional attempt.

What is the size of each box?
3 feet by 3 feet by 30 inches deep

What can I grow in these raised beds?
Anything you can imagine growing!  The depth is ideal for root vegetables if desired.

What are they made of?
Untreated Pine

What were they used for previously?
Shipping airplane parts up to 4000lbs

Where do these come from?
A generous donor whose company in Woodinville is trying to go zero waste.

When are they available?
Every other week, year round we receive shipments at our home address. Pick up is in Marysville.

Can you deliver to my address?
We cannot deliver as our resources as a non-profit are limited.

How heavy are the boxes?
About 100lbs. You’ll want help, generally two people. We do not help load.

How do I apply?
Applications are available under the FILES section on our Facebook Page at Down To Earth Community Gardens and on the website under the resources tab at www.downtoearthcommunitygardens. Complete your application (they do not expire and there are NO DEADLINES for submission as they are available year round), follow the submission instructions on the application form. Applications can be mailed, emailed, sent by pm and carrier pigeon.

Started in 2016, Down to Earth Community Garden’s Program goal is to promote vegetable gardening in Snohomish County.  Ten applicants will be selected to have a raised bed that includes seeds, access to free starts and additional garden resources.
Applications are accepted year round with no expiration.  Average wait time is approximately 1 to 30 days.  Applications can be secured by contacting Terry Myer at 425.350.2658, or at tmyer58@hotmail.com.  You may also download and print off the application (pdf) and mail/email to:
