Spending part of the afternoon learning to become proficient with some classic cocktails, I walked away with a …new favorite, what I like to call the Terry Berry Bramble. Built on the idea of a classic bramble with a couple of twists, this drink is fruit forward with a nice tang finish, the perfect drink for a hot day. Follow the recipe below and let us know what you think!
1 1/3 oz Big Gin
2/3 oz Lime Juice
1/3 oz Simple Syrup
½ oz Crème de Mure (Cassis)
¼ cup Blackberries
1 slice Orange Zest/Rind
1 cup crushed ice
1 Low Ball Glass
Add Blackberries and Orange zest with ice in a large glass and muddle. Pour your Big Gin, lime juice, simple syrup, Cassis in a shaker with several ice cubes shake well. Add muddled fruit and pour over crushed ice in a low ball glass.
Disclaimer: This drink is refreshing and not too sweet. Because this is not a liquor forward tasting cocktail, the effects may sneak up on you. Use for good or evil.
